Captioned images

Some of you may have already noticed. I've now added captions to my images. I think it's far superior to relying on Image Title parameters (ie, the Tool Tip text popups you usually see) and adds value to the images. I've been developing them for quite some time but couldn't get the images to centre on the page until today when a couple of nice people on the css discussion list gave me pointers. The web community is truly a great and helpful place.

I don't know how they look in IE but they look great in Opera, FireFox, Safari and OmniWeb.

我幫你test過,用IE 都睇到你D closed captions 呀!效果跟
Firebox 一樣 "正"!不過原來用IE 係唔可以 Switch to 3-Col layout 的.

Sapphire,

from memory, when using IE (Win), you have to click on the 3-col link (a script) and then reload the page. there might also be a Style menu somewhere which lists the various alternate styles available. you could choose 3-Col there too.

Closed Captions??? (*LOL*)

河生,對唔住!令到你一頭霧水。我是指用 IE 可以睇到你 D 相下面有 Captions。并非指睇到你 D image captions 好像睇電視那些 closed captions 一樣 ,可以隨時開關那麼“利害”。 哈哈!

Just read your article on AM730! It's nice :) I like your style of writing, easy to read, and catching me to read thru it thouroughly.

For the waiting issue, do you have a palm or PPC so you could maybe download a book to read or surf on the internet? It's the first thing came in mind when reading your ariticle :)

Hoping to read your column again soon!

hi Eileen.

I'm glad you liked the article. the am730 did make one edit which changed the meaning of one of my paragraphs but overall, it was ok.

my am730 columns will be posted here a few days after they come out in am730.

as per waiting, we don't normally have to wait that long. that was a very special case but a painful one. we waited in the studio for 5 nights while they filmed the fight scenes. some nights were as long as 16 hours and some of the actors actually had to wait 7 nights rather than 5.

I couldn't go surfing while in the studio. I had my mobile phone and my green Apple iBook (on which I wrote the am730 article) but it would be far too expensive to go surfing over the mobile phone network. I couldn't afford it.

After reading that 730am post, i ask myself my much time i spend on waiting, once i read this book it says 1/5 of our life span is used for waiting.....
Anyway..... Wish u have a good trip in indo
